Science Happenings

It has been fabulous seeing minds thinking deeply and the in-depth conversation happening between children and with staff as science projects are investigated. Most children have brought along the resources they need to conduct their experiments. On Monday everyone needs to be prepared as we are spending the whole day focusing on science projects.

Science Projects

All term we have been learning about 'matter'. We are now launching into science projects that will be shared at the school science fair in week 9. On Monday we crushed cans with heat and ice. Through questioning and a series of trials we learnt that the can crushed due to the water vapour molecules rapidly cooling and
condensing into water.

Indoor Tournament

On Tuesday this week 30 of our students headed off to play in the Canterbury Primary Schools Indoor Tournament, competing in basketball and volleyball. The children all performed well and had heaps of fun.

Winter sport is underway at last!

It was with great glee that we headed off to winter sport today. The football and rugby teams returned victorious. Awesome effort from the netball players too.
